New to Hockey
For those new to hockey, the following resources provide ice skating lessons as well as introduction to hockey.
Learn to Skate
Our "Learn to Skate" and "Jr Rider" programs are perfect for kids and adults. These curriculum-based classes follow the Learn to Skate USA skating program, providing instructors for each level. Start by signing up with Learn to Skate USA, our program curriculum.
All classes are 30 minutes with a 30-minute practice time during a public session (not always on the day of the lesson). Learn to skate participants only.
Class Fee - 6-7 Week Class (depending on schedule avail) - $125.00 (Learn to Skate - Snowplow - Skate Hockey ); $139.00 Freestyle Classes; $159.00 Jr Rider Program
The price includes a half-hour lesson, half-hour practice in a public session and skate rental fee. Please check the schedule for the public recreational skating times
Make-Up Classes: There may be an opportunity to schedule a make-up class on another day that there are lessons. Only one make-up class per session will be allowed and has to be made up in the same session, not in a future session. Make-Up Classes are not GUARANTEED Must email lburch@bluesportstable.club at least 48 hours before.

Jr. Riders Hockey
Our "Jr. Rider" program is the next step for players after they have completed Snowplow Sam 3, Basic 1, or Hockey 1 from our Learn to Skate program. The Jr Riders program focuses on all the basic components of the game of hockey including skating, stick-handling, shooting, and developing self-confidence.
All classes are 60 minutes.
Class Fee - 6-7 Week Class - $159.00
Make-Up Classes: There may be an opportunity to schedule a make-up class on another day that there are lessons. Only one make-up class per session will be allowed and has to be made up in the same session, not in a future session.
Packages Available:
Option 1 - $375.00 - Includes 2 Jr Riders Sessions/Week (Tuesdays and Saturdays)
+ 1 Learn to Skate Hockey Class (Wednesdays or Saturdays)
Option 2 - $ 225.00 - Includes 1 Jr Riders Session/Week (Tuesdays and Saturdays)
+ 1 Learn to Skate Hockey Class (Wednesdays or Saturdays)
Jr. Riders Hockey Classes are offered through the blue Sport Stable supported by BHC staff, coaches, and volunteers who assist on and off the ice. Sessions run 6 weeks, once per week, and players are eligible to continue through Boulder Hockey Club upon completion of Jr. Riders or Mile High Mites.

Mile High Mites
The Colorado Avalanche are proud to support local organizations through the Mile High Mites Learn to Play program, which provides head to toe equipment as part of the tegistration fee. The program is open to new hockey players (Those that have not been on a USA Hockey Registered Roster with a sanctioned youth hockey program.
